Grizzly Bear and Pitchfork on the balls of Beach House

Wow, not only did Pitchfork give an 8.1 to their last album but they are already sniffing the balls of their upcoming release in February......yes you heard correct February. In fact Pitchfork says "The disc drops February 28". Drops.....I didn't know Mica art rock vinyl only albums "drop". I thought that term was reserved for Kanye West. And what's with the 3 month hype-up period.

Pitchfork article:

Web 6.9

So I'm posting to the Pietropolitan for several reasons today:

1. by special request

2. because it's the best friggin blog on the goddamn 'net.

3. to introduce a new generation in web technology......Web 6.9

And this is in response to the dips at realpeoplerealstuff.com hacking youtube and craigslist and claiming that they are "Web 3.0". Why you ask? Because! they answer.

So here I am jumping 3.9 generations ahead of them with the FUTURE!!!!!!!

Really....I mean you're telling me this is the future of the internet?

Beach House at the Floristree

Saw an increadible band at the Floristree which in itself is a pretty interesting place. On the sixth floor of an apartment building on Eutaw and Franklin streets. Apparently it's some sort of artists' co-op. Anyway great show and great band.

www.beachhousemusic.net

The other band that played was Arbouretum but despite Pitchfork's review it doesn't score a 7.6 on the badass scale.
